ABOUT THE BOULDER

When The Boulder Dropped.
Miracles are real…

In February, 2016, Meridith’s youngest daughter Schuyler was returning to the second leg of a Yale Fellowship in South America. On her way back to Peru, she took a two-week vacation to Colombia with a dear friend. An idyllic few days brimming with glorious excursions that spanned from combing the Colombian beaches to rappelling down waterfalls took a grisly turn for the worst. On February 19th, as Schuyler relaxed in a grotto following a river trip, a giant boulder came tumbling down from the side of a mountain, landing full force on sweet Schuyler.

The injuries were extensive — any one of them could have been life-threatening in the best of scenarios. Combine all of them when more than an hour away from the nearest regional hospital and Schuyler’s prospects were critically grim.

At 3pm that Friday, Meridith got the call that would change her life and her perspective forever. Together with her oldest daughter Saya, Meridith scrambled to find a last minute flight to Colombia to potentially say her final good-byes to her gorgeous child.

It was while Meridith was on the plane to Bogota, more than 30,000 above sea level, that she made the decision to invest her energy in practicing the mindset techniques that had served her so effectively so far. She rationalized that it cannot work in one aspect of her life and not be equally effective in all aspects of her life — even when it’s literally a matter of life and death.

She took a huge leap of faith and began deliberately guiding her mind toward the expectation of a powerfully positive outcome. To expand on her own power, she began also impacting the expectations/prayers of those who came to be known as her “Global Family” on Facebook. Initially concerned that friends and family would find her positivity “delusional”, she quickly discovered that her words had the opposite effect. Feedback came pouring in that shared how profoundly her positivity was impacting all who were following their story.

Today, Meridith and Schuyler’s Schuy is the Limit page on Facebook has thousands of followers. Their inspiring story has appeared multiple times in the media, most recently in Prevention Magazine. Meridith’s first book The Sky is the Limit catapulted to Amazon’s #1 New Release status in the motivational category upon its release in November 2017.
